Tulsi Gabbard Defects from The Democratic Party in a Scorched Earth Public Announcement

Former Democratic Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard pulled the trigger on a big move this week, defecting from the Democratic Party she came out and described as being totally under the control of an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoking anti-white racism.”

And she was just getting started with that statement.

Tulsi made this announcement on the first episode of her new podcast, the Tulsi Gabbard show.

Throughout the inaugural episode, Tulsi delivered an eloquent, scalding rebuke of today’s Democratic party, noting how much it has changed since she first joined it twenty years ago.

Tulsi shared how, driven by her love of the environment and a pull to do more to protect it, she made the decision to run for a state office. That was the first time she had to choose which Party to align with. Her research, says Tulsi, drew her into the Democratic Party she admired for things like its defense of plantation workers, its inclusiveness, its representation of working men and women, and its icons like MLK Jr and Robert F Kennedy.

By contrast, Tulsi explained, she found the Republican Party to be the Party representing big business and warmongering elitists.

So Tulsi checked the Democrat box and stepped into twenty years as a Democratic Party member.

Those of us who didn’t know much or anything at all about Tusli got to know who she is and what she stands for during her run for President. Rather than aligning with the Democratic Party’s Leftist positions, Tulsi appeared to be more of a moderate- you know, like the people who used to run the Democratic Party.

She immediately set herself apart from the other Democratic candidates because she clearly loves America, believes in the Constitution, is proud of her faith, and is articulate about all of it. One could see why the Democrats weren’t cheering for her.

In the almost two years since that shit show of an election, Tulsi has stepped forward more and more to push back against the vitriol erupting from the Democrats while not being shy about calling out the Republicans she disagrees with, either.

So while it isn’t surprising to hear her say what a disgrace the current Democratic party is, it is surprising to see a person in the Democrat Party go so far as to publicly defect, leaving a scorched earth farewell in the form of a public announcement.

She prefaced her announcement with the following:

There’s something that’s been on my mind for some time, and has now compelled me to take action. I love our country. Our God-given rights of freedom, life, and liberty that are enshrined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights are what inspire me.

From there, Tulsi dipped into her background, and the past twenty years she had been a Democrat. It was immediately after that, that she dropped her bombshell announcement:

I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party.

In addition to the part about the elitist, racist warmongers she referenced, Tulsi layered further disapproval of those running the Democratic party, while they ‘…Actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution and who are hostile to people of faith and spirituality.

Now that she had everyone’s attention, Tulsi Gabbard itemized specific wrongs the Democrats have inflicted upon Americans, including:

–Demonizing the police and protecting criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans

–Opening our borders

–Weaponizing the national security state to go after their political opponent

–Dragging us all ever closer to nuclear war

That list, Tulsi noted, is not exhaustive. She will also be unpacking each item in more depth, in the coming weeks. She called on Americans to join her on her show, promising to spell it all out in detail.

Then she dropped one more bomb on the Democrats, inviting her, “..fellow common sense, independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party.”

It’s unclear for now what Tulsi’s next move will be in terms of her political affiliation. Republicans shouldn’t assume she will be pasting an elephant decal on her car anytime soon. That Party is not without sin, either.

For now, we’ll find our inspiration in Tulsi embracing her God-given and Constitutionally protected right to speak her mind, share her insight, and embrace her patriotism while unencumbered by any of the political pandering Americans have grown excruciatingly weary of.
