There Are Only Two Sides Now And It’s Time To Choose

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can ever imagine.

Obi-Wan Kenobi may be a fictional character, but this line he delivered to his enemy could not be more on-point in America today.

The relentless assault on Americans’ unity, freedoms, religions, patriotism, core values, and plain old common sense have officially struck down any illusion that we are not in some version of a civil war.

Call that dramatic if you’d like. But then tell me what you call it.

It doesn’t matter that there is no geographical boundary between one side of America and the other. We are as divided today as we were when the Confederate and Union Armies saw brothers firing upon brothers.

How else would you describe what’s happening in this country today?

Half the country – Side ‘L’, we’ll call them – believes we should officially dissolve our borders, let non-citizens vote, and even work for the local government.

They believe a football coach does not have the right to bow his head and pray by himself on a field.

They believe dismembering babies in the womb right up until the time of birth is a “reproductive right.”

They believe Americans should essentially abolish patriotism or national pride and submit to being no nation, at all.

They believe the media tells the truth.

They believe we need more government.

They believe it’s selfish to point out that we prefer our paychecks to provide for our own families instead of those who would rather not work or enter this country lawfully.

They believe anyone should be able to vote in our elections, with no need to verify their identity.

They believe the previous election was completely devoid of manipulation.

They believe violence, censorship, hostility, and slander are justified against people who disagree with them.

They believe the rioters burning buildings, killing cops, and wreaking havoc in our cities are justified.

They believe in the Insurrection.

They believe there are infinite genders.

They believe Fauci and the CDC.

They believe Hillary, Hunter Biden, and his dad are innocent.

And they believe there is absolutely nothing wonky about the recent FBI raid.

They are happy to see anyone who disagrees with them silenced and destroyed.

The list goes on, but you get the picture.

Meantime the other half of the country - Side 'R', we’ll call them - believes all of that is bullshit.

They believe in borders and legal citizenship.

They believe in everyone’s right to pray to whatever God he or she believes in.

They believe infants are human beings and deserve to be safe in their mothers’ wombs.

They believe nothing the media says at first glance, and prefer to dig deeper than a headline or meme for their information.

They believe in less government and in term limits.

They believe in putting America first, not just for Americans’ sake but for the sake of our ability to help others.

They believe showing ID to vote is no more racist than showing ID to buy alcohol or board a plane.

They believe only American citizens should vote in American elections.

They believe there are two genders.

They believe the previous election was manipulated.

They believe Hillary and Hunter should be in jail, and Joe should be impeached.

They believe Fauci and the CDC are full of shit.

They believe the FBI has been weaponized for political purposes. And now, finally, this half of the country believes it has been pushed too far.

Lines have been drawn.

People who may or may not know why they hate Trump are doubling down on that hatred. They are celebrating the recent FBI raid and salivating at the thought of more dramatic theater by Democrats and even some Republicans who will do anything to keep Trump out of the White House.

People who have a weird obsession with Trump are now even more obsessed.

People who may or may not like Trump, but do like his policies, want him back even more.

And people who may or may not have wanted Trump to run again, now believe he has to be our next president.

The majority of America is, fortunately, peaceful. They may call bullshit on, well, bullshit, but they will not stoop to the violence and depravity shown by those seeking to dismantle everything great about this country.

That is a largely non-partisan line, by the way. Even those on Side L don’t want to escalate to violence.

‘Unfortunately, they may be dragged into it, if 87,000 new IRS agents decide to audit only Side R citizens, the millions of illegal immigrants we are all bankrolling turn into tens of millions, elections continue to be manipulated, and millions of Americans freeze to death because they cannot afford to heat their homes, or the campaign to undo the second amendment heats up.

Whatever the Democrats Plan is, they have pretty much turned the man they most despise into a man with more support than they could ever imagine. And they have awakened a readiness in more Americans, to stop them once and for all.

Giddyup, Buttercups – we are in for a helluva ride.
